What do you mean by “operating system”?
That the business runs on one system instead of a stack held together by exports. Invoices, bank feeds, receipts, documents, reports and the agents that move them share one ledger and one history. It is not an ERP, and it is not accounting software — your accountant still owns compliance.
Is Rivantir accounting software?
No — and that’s deliberate. Rivantir runs the day-to-day: invoices out, bank feeds in, receipts matched, transactions categorized, reports ready. Your accountant (or accounting package) gets clean, reconciled data instead of a shoebox.
Which banks can I connect?
Bank sync covers European banks through regulated open banking (PSD2), with strictly read-only access. Outside Europe, or your bank isn’t covered? CSV import and manual accounts work everywhere, with the same categorization and matching.
What is Rivantir Intelligence?
The name for the whole agentic layer: the agents that categorize, reconcile, chase and flag; the workflows they run; and the assistant you talk to. It works across every part of the system rather than sitting beside it.
Can it run the business on its own?
It runs as much of it as you let it. Every workflow step carries an Ask-or-Auto dial — set it to Auto and the Intelligence acts unattended, leave it on Ask and the work waits in your Approval Inbox. Bank access is read-only whichever you choose, so no setting lets it move money.
What do the agents do without me?
Safe things only. Incoming transactions are categorized automatically in the background, and high-confidence invoice matches can apply themselves. Everything else is filed as a proposal that waits in your Approval Inbox — and per workflow step you choose Ask or Auto.
What happens after the trial?
You get 14 days of Pro-level features with no card on file (live bank connections are reserved for paid plans — CSV import works during the trial). When it ends, pick a plan to keep going. Nothing is deleted, and your data stays exportable.
Is my financial data safe?
Bank connections are read-only and go through regulated PSD2 providers — Rivantir never holds credentials that could move money. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest and scoped to your organization. You can disconnect a bank or export everything at any time.
Where is my data hosted?
In the EU. Every Rivantir deployment currently runs on EU infrastructure, and your organization’s data and documents stay in that region. A US region is next — until it ships, EU hosting is the only option.
Can I use Rivantir without connecting a bank at all?
Yes. Manual accounts and CSV imports feed the same categorization, matching and reporting — the agents don’t care how transactions arrive.
